Energy Saving

Real Roof U Value chart

*Lower is better

Warmer home, cheaper bills

In the current financial climate and with ever increasing energy prices it is imperative to be energy efficient right throughout your home, for example using A rated windows and doors, comparing energy prices and finding the cheapest supplier, turning down your heating and turning off lights around the home and sockets that aren’t being used. All this can seem a little waste of time if your heat is going literally ‘through the roof’. Now it doesn’t have to with our thermally efficient Tiled Conservatory Roof. A solid and insulated structure custom built to fit your Conservatory. The roof boasts a ‘U Value’ of 0.17.

What is a U Value?

A ‘U Value’ is a measure of heat loss in a building element such as a wall, floor or roof. It can also be referred to as an ‘overall heat transfer co-efficient’ and measures how well parts of a building transfer heat. This means that the higher the U Value the worse the thermal performance of the building envelope. A low ‘U Value’ indicates high levels of insulation.

Our roof as mentioned above has a U Value of 0.17 which basically indicates a very low heat loss, a good thermal barrier, efficient and heat retaining.

By installing a Real Roof on your Conservatory and providing you are energy efficient throughout other parts of your home you could be making massive savings on your fuel bills. So not only is it more visually attractive, sound absorbing, hard wearing and weatherproof, our Roof will save you money and of course be more environmentally friendly.

Excellent job, very impressed with workmanship.
